Extensive CO₂ storage
Our depleted Viking reservoirs have over 300 million tonnes of initial storage capacity. So they are more than big enough to meet the demand of our carbon-capturing current and future members for many years to come.
We have eight discrete reservoirs in the Viking fields. Once we have filled and sealed the first reservoir, we will move on to the next. Filling and sealing as we go – just as we emptied and sealed the reservoirs first time around, only this time in reverse.
